The German nobleman's house

Damburg

This nobleman's residence used to be the place of the lords of Bocholt. Today you can come and see this place for yourself.

This handsome manor house was destroyed by the Duke of Mansfeld's troops in 1584 and noticeably embellished in 1683.

The gate is decorated with the coat of arms of Furstenbergh and Lannoy with the date 1715. The arms of these two noble families who ruled the town of Bocholt in the 18th century can be found in the Bocholt coat of arms.
