The Rat family searches for a new home and finds a den in the playground of a local school. The rat children enjoy the playground's playground equipment and bulging trash cans. But soon their den turns into a real “rat mess. And as you know, rats don't like cleaning up! Will you help them make everything nice and tidy again as it should be?

What can you expect from the walk?

During the walk, at various stops you will read about the adventures of the Rat family and their rat mess. At each stop you will find a large board with a short reading excerpt from the book 'Ratzooi' by Guy Daniëls and accompanying illustrations by Ina Hallemans.

Those who want to listen to the more extensive story can scan the QR code and enjoy the listening game. Be sure not to forget to complete the doing assignments!

Ratzooi bicycle tour

This challenging bike tour takes you from Goolderheide to Kaulille center and back again. On the way you will come across 8 stops where you can enjoy the picture book story 'Ratzooi'. Only when you have completed the task, you may continue cycling to the next stop. At one of the stops the kids can play on a pleasant playground. You can relax with a drink in the meantime.

The route runs mostly on car-free roads and in Bocholt the green surroundings are never far away.
